Is walking getting harder to do?

Image by Sasin Tipchai from Pixabay So I don’t know but it seems like every day I have been walking less even though I am walking for at least an hour.  It appears it’s actually getting harder each day to meet 10,000 steps.  I know I am being hard on myself and life does get in the way sometimes but I really thought if I made the effort, especially to prove to myself in the first week that I could achieve big walking numbers that I would succeed.  So my first day was brilliant, I did 12,000 steps. Second day it dropped to 6,000. Lesson learnt, I kept going. Day three 9,900. So close to 10,000 steps which is my daily goal and definitely a ‘step-up’ (mind the pun) from the day before. Then the next day 8,000. Ok not too bad. And today 7000. 😢 I know it’s all just making time to walk and obviously I need to walk purposely for more than an hour a day but it’s hard when the day is already full.  Please comment below if you have any tips to help me boost my steps. Introducing myself

Image by Markus Winkler from Pixabay Hello,  I just want to explain why I created this blog. I lost 14 kilos from walking. Now I want to lose another 10 kilos to lose weight but then I want to keep walking to continue living a healthy lifestyle so I can actually do things I want to do.  So here is the background. I started dancing ballet when I was five years old. I did this until about 15 years old and then kept dancing recreationally. I became dance captain in high school.  I kept dancing on and off after I moved out at 18 years old but I wasn’t as active. Then later I had children and would walk everywhere with them. I was lucky the community I was in had everything in walking distance, shops, library, swimming pool and playgrounds.  Then I turned 33 and started doing aerials! Aerials is like dancing in the air. Would you walk on your weekend?

Image by Jill Wellington from Pixabay Good morning walkers, So this morning I decided it’s the weekend and I am going to be up early. I was have a full day planned so I thought I could either not go for a walk today or do it first thing in the morning before my day began.  And that’s what I did. Today I woke up at six in the morning and was out walking by 6:45. I did check the amount of steps around 7am, which was about 2,000. I really wanted to finish hahaha but I kept going.  I kept going and even walked further forward so I knew it would take longer to get back. Then when I decided it was time to turn around, I didn’t just walk straight back (as much as I wanted to), I went down a hill and around the block and even when there were two sections I could have diverted home quicker, I decided to keep going the long way home.  I knew I wouldn’t make 10,000 steps. I really didn’t think I would make 5,000 steps. Especially when the desire to go back home was great lol. Howev...
