Why walking every day is important

So I used to walk every second week. The result is I lost 14 kilos over a year.

Now I have started walking daily, every week. And what I have noticed is way more important than just losing weight. I have momentum.

See walking every second week worked but I had to restart over every second week. I had to rebuild my stamina and it felt like I never improved. In terms of puffing up stairs and walking slowly because walking fast was just too strenuous. I couldn’t do anything more sporty than walking. I tried running for a week but that didn’t last.

So what has changed?

Walking each day, every week is making all the difference. I have more energy in general, I feel good about myself and I am now craving my walking time and being outside. I still make time for doing my hobbies which are indoors. I haven’t changed my life dramatically. All I have done is create a routine.

And as per my last post, I want to and I am playing soccer. Can you believe it? I never thought I would be able to do anything more than walking but I have just tested the waters and for a short period, I actually played soccer and I loved it.

So if you are struggling to walk far or puff going up the stairs, try to make a routine and go out around the same time every day for a walk. Do this for two weeks and then comment below on what you found worked.
